Acceptance criteria

To meet the ever-increasing demands of waste disposal, our general acceptance criteria are subject to change.

Surely you are aware of the current waste disposal issues. The costs for the thermal treatment of waste have reached unprecedented levels. Additionally, the requirements for the composition of our waste materials are constantly rising.

To be able to meet these new challenges, we need to modify our general acceptance criteria for scrap and metallic waste. In order to avoid unnecessary costs for you or your company, we kindly request that you adhere to our new general acceptance criteria for delivery qualities:

Dangerous and pollutant-containing materials will not be accepted. They will be rejected and must be returned upon delivery.

In case of non-specific adherences, such as dirt, water, snow, ice, wood, etc., a weight deduction will be made if detected in the incoming material.

Steel shavings must be free from adherences, as well as free from any kind of liquids and foreign substances. Casting shavings must be collected separately! The shavings must be free from small scrap and other types of scrap.

Generally excluded from acceptance are:

  • Explosives and ammunition (including airbags)
  • Radioactively contaminated scrap
  • Any type of hollow bodies, especially pressure vessels for propane, carbon dioxide, acetylene, technical gases, spray cans, fire extinguishers, shock absorbers, etc.
  • Barrels with unknown content or dangerous content
  • (Oil-filled) compressors from cooling devices / refrigerators
  • Any type of PCB-containing and oil-filled components
  • Old paints
  • Lithium-ion batteries / any type of batteries
  • Gas discharge lamps
  • Electric night storage heaters, electric storage ovens, and refractory bricks
  • Asbestos panels, materials containing Eternit
  • Safes
  • Improperly disposed car bodies (Non-drained tanks, gasoline, diesel, LPG, natural gas)

Subject to registration and approval, the following may be possible:

  • E-waste
  • Materials with PU / KMF
  • Uncontaminated concrete
  • Tires
  • Packages of car bodies
  • Drained shock absorbers, compressors, and barrels

If our acceptance staff identifies misplacements, including the following contents, they will be deducted according to the current disposal costs, plus sorting costs:
